Adult Recognitions

Each year the association and council honors G.S. adult volunteers and leaders for their work on behalf of their troop, service unit,
association or council.  Recognitions for these awards include a nominating process.

Outstanding Leader award--award given to a G.S. leader, or assistant leader whose skills in the areas of leadership, communication
and membership are so outstanding in nature that they merit recognition by the service unit.

Outstanding Volunteer award--award given to an adult serving in a capacity other than troop leadership whose service is of benefit to the entire service unit and is so beyond expectations for the position held that it warrants Service Unit recognition.

Association Pin--for outstanding performance in one or more phases of development or execution of the Association plan of work.

Appreciation Pin--requires approval by the Council Board of Directors for outstanding service delivered to at least one geographic (Association or Service) Unit.

Honor Pin--requires approval by the Council Board of Directors  for outstanding service to one or more associations of the council.

Thanks Badge--requires approval by the Council Board of Directors for service which is truly outstanding which benefits the work of the entire council or the G.S. organization.  The service must be beyond the call of duty that no other award would be appropriate.
